The latest issue of the magazine “Local History”, dedicated to the Slobozhanshchyna region, features an interview with Angelina Kuleshova, a fourth-year student of SumDU specializing in “History and Archaeology.” Currently, she serves as the Chief Curator at the Municipal Institution of the Trostianets City Council, “Museum and Exhibition Center ‘Trostianets’.”

Sumy State University has announced the results of the “Best Teacher Through the Eyes of Students” contest for the 2023–2024 academic year. History students highly rated their instructors, with one of the winners being Vitalii Korol, Ph.D. in History and Assistant of the Department of History, who received a First Degree Diploma.

Sumy State University has announced the results of the 2024 “Pedagogical Innovations at SumDU” competition. A total of 20 projects were submitted for consideration by both individual participants and author collectives, involving 41 academic and teaching staff members.

On November 28, 2024, a regular meeting of the Advisory Council on Cultural Heritage Protection under the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Religions of the Sumy Regional State Administration took place. The agenda included the review of registration documentation for both well-known and newly discovered monuments and objects of archaeological and historical heritage.
II Regional Tournament “Local Lore Treasures of Our Homeland”
On November 28, 2024, the II Regional Tournament “Local Lore Treasures of Our Homeland” was held online, bringing together young experts of Sumy region. The tournament was organized by the Department of Education and Science of the Sumy Regional State Administration and the Sumy Regional Council’s Communal Institution – the Regional Center for Extracurricular Education and Work with Gifted Youth.
Guest Lecture on Genealogy by Associate Professor N.V. Lobko from the Department of History, SumDU
Ph.D. in History and Associate Professor of the Department of History at SumDU, N.V. Lobko, conducted a guest lecture on genealogy for students of the Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The lecture was part of the course “History and Culture of Ukraine.”
Participation of SumDU Department of History Faculty and History Students in Presentation Events
On November 21, 2024, faculty members of the Department of History at Sumy State University (SumDU) and students specializing in “Secondary Education (History and Civic Education)” and “History and Archaeology” participated in presentation events of educational projects organized by the Department of International, European Law, and Comparative Legal Studies, as well as the Department of Administrative, Economic Law, and Financial and Economic Security at SumDU.
