DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY OF COURT LAW

About the department

One of the oldest departments of the university. It was created in 1962. Initially, it was called Marxism-Leninism, since 1972 – history of the CPSU, since 1993 – Ukrainian studies, since 2001 – history, since 2014 – theory and history of the state and law. During 2016-2020, the unit existed as a history section within the department of constitutional law, theory and history of the state and law. In 2019, the history section opened the bachelor’s degree course 032 “History and Archeology” and the first recruitment of students took place. In 2020, an independent department of history was restored.

The department has an educational and methodological office, which contains encyclopedic and reference publications, scientific monographs, scientific and journalistic works, popular works on jurisprudence, world and domestic history, culture, literature, domestic and foreign specialized scientific journals, methodological materials, programs and plans for seminar classes, subjects of control papers, test tasks from the disciplines taught at the department
