On March 10, 2026, the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted a Historical Hour dedicated to the birthday of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. Based on archival documents, Valerii Vlasenko spoke about the honoring of the Great Kobzar’s memory by representatives of the Ukrainian emigration, members of various public associations, and educational and cultural institutions, which confirms the consolidating role of Taras Shevchenko’s image in the formation of the national memory of the Ukrainian people.
