On November 28, 2024, a regular meeting of the Advisory Council on Cultural Heritage Protection under the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Religions of the Sumy Regional State Administration took place. The agenda included the review of registration documentation for both well-known and newly discovered monuments and objects of archaeological and historical heritage.
Special attention was given by council members to the cultural heritage site “Zemstvo School.” This building, constructed in 1912 based on the design of the renowned Ukrainian architect and artist Opanas Slastion, continues to serve its original purpose as an educational institution.
The meeting was attended by Sergey Degtyaryov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the History Department at Sumy State University, who participates regularly as a permanent member of the council.
