We invite you to join a major academic event — the 10th Anniversary International Scientific and Practical Online Conference “REFORMING THE LEGAL SYSTEM IN THE CONTEXT OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION PROCESSES,” which will be hosted by Sumy State University.
On March 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM, the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library (Hall No. 303) will host a historical lecture titled “Shevchenko Days of the Ukrainian Emigration: Based on Materials from Foreign Archives.”
The Editorial Board of the Sumy State University Department of History’s professional journal, “Sumy Historical and Archival Journal,” invites authors to submit their articles, reviews, and critiques. We are seeking research on a wide range of topics, including problematic issues in the history of Ukraine, world history, archival studies, source studies, local history, and more.
In 2023, “History of Ukraine” was officially introduced as a mandatory component of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT).
Traditionally, in October 2025, Sumy State University will launch its preparatory courses to help future applicants master this subject.
The latest issue of the magazine “Local History”, dedicated to the Slobozhanshchyna region, will feature an interview with Angelina Kuleshova, a fourth-year student of SumDU specializing in “History and Archaeology.” Currently, she works as the Chief Curator at the Municipal Institution of the Trostianets City Council, “Museum and Exhibition Center ‘Trostianets’.”
One of Angelina Kuleshova’s primary areas of focus is digitizing the museum’s collections.
The Editorial Board of the “Sumy Historical and Archival Journal,” a publication of the Department of History at Sumy State University (SumDU), invites authors to submit articles, reviews, and critiques exploring pressing issues in Ukrainian history, world history, archival studies, source studies, local history, and related fields.
