On November 3, 2025, the State Archive of Sumy Region (SASR) celebrated its 100th anniversary. To mark this occasion, a ceremonial event was held on November 7, 2025, in the archive’s reading hall. The event featured an exhibition of documents illustrating the history and development of archival work in the Sumy region, as well as photographs depicting key moments from the archive’s activities. Greetings and congratulatory addresses were delivered by representatives of the Sumy Regional State Administration, colleagues from other state archives, and delegates from educational institutions, museums, and libraries.
The Department of History of Sumy State University was represented by Professor Serhii Dehtiarov, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Head of the Department, and Associate Professor Nataliia Lobko, Candidate of Historical Sciences. In his speech, Professor Dehtiarov emphasized the close cooperation between the Department of History of Sumy State University and the State Archive of Sumy Region. In particular, Yurii Oliinyk, Director of SASR, serves as a member of the Expert Council of Employers for the educational programs “History” and “Secondary Education (History)” at SumDU.
