Sumy State University was represented on the Advisory Council by Dr. Serhii Dehtiarov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Department of History.
During the discussion of the agenda item “Design solutions (plans and facades of temporary protective structures) for the adaptation (preservation) of cultural heritage objects by installing temporary protective constructions over monuments of monumental art of national significance”—namely, the “Monument at the Family Burial of the Kharitonenko Family” (1894, sculptor Aristide Onesime Croisy) and the “Monument at the Grave of P. I. Kharitonenko’s Daughter – Zinaida” (1891, sculptor Aristide Onesime Croisy)—developed by the Sumy Institute of Architectural Planning on behalf of the Department of Urban Infrastructure of the Sumy City Council, the proposed measures were analyzed with the aim of protecting these cultural heritage objects from potential destruction, damage, or deterioration.
It was decided that the developer should supplement the project documentation with a textual section, and it was recommended that the Department of Culture, Tourism and Religion of the Sumy Regional State Administration prepare an official conclusion on the protective structure project and that the client submit an application to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy for approval of the works.
After reviewing the project “Technical Land Management Documentation for the Inventory of Municipally Owned Land Plots Intended for Farming, Located within the Territory of the Boromlia Village Council of the Okhtyrka District, Sumy Region”, the Council recommended that the Department of Culture, Tourism and Religion approve the project, which defines restrictions on land use around the archaeological monument, and instructed the private entrepreneur/certified land surveyor R. Sakhno to ensure the inclusion of the relevant data in the State Land Cadastre.
